We are sharing today a wonderful picture book that mixes fact with a tall tale. It is called "A Small Tall Tale from the Far Far North" by Peter Sis. The story is about Jan Welzl, who according to the epilogue by Peter Sis, spent 30 years in the Arctic.
"Now I am galloping southward over the frozen Bering Sea. The reindeer fly across the ice while my sled bounces over the irregular surface. From time to time we stop to look around for signs of life. As far as I can see, there is nothing but snow and ice and wide open space. At last I feel free."
